Why did you choose your profession?:
Pediatric and Congenital Cardiology is a fascinating field! The anatomy and physiology, and change in both with age as well as change through catheter-based and surgical interventions is what intrigued me initially and continues to excite me every day! Additionally, the advances in cardiac imaging modalities, non-invasive and invasive interventions, and management strategies is continuously evolving, making it even more interesting!
Current Passion Project:
Representation matters. Equity in the workplace matters. In medicine, we need more representation in leadership positions by women and people from all backgrounds, religions, and ethnicities.
Who was/is your inspiration?
My family, friends, colleagues, and patients have all taught me invaluable lessons. I am very grateful for all who have been a part of my journey.
Fun Fact 1:
I love to dance! It's good for my heart and soul! It's also great cardio! Don't forget to try and move your body everyday!
Fun Fact 2:
Traveling is a must! I really enjoy exploring new sites, learning about new places and people, and trying new food!

If you are interested in Pediatric and Congenital Cardiology, please reach out and find opportunities to shadow those in the field. Don’t hesitate to ask questions because there is so much the specialty has to offer, such as: general cardiology, acute care cardiology, cardiac critical care, advanced imaging, interventional, pulmonary hypertension, heart failure/transplant, fetal cardiology, electrophysiology and more! So find out as much information as you can, and choose a field that fits YOU!
