Brianna Cardenas, PA-C, ATC
Name: Brianna Cardenas, PA-C, ATC
Title: Physician Assistant
Location: La Verne, CA
School/Program: University of La Verne, WesternU
Currently Wearing: The Vera G. Slim Fit Lab Coat
Why did you choose your profession?:
I have wanted to help people with their health since I was young. Being a PA is incredible because it offers so much flexibility and the ability to practice in multiple specialties.
Current Passion Project:
I passionately advocate for the Spinal CSF Leak Foundation and the Ehlers-Danlos Society. These organizations are dedicated to helping people with these disabling conditions, and educating healthcare providers as well. I am currently working on fundraising $5k for a Spinal CSF Leak video in collaboration with Osmosis.org
Who was/is your inspiration?
This one is tough, since I didn't have really any positive role models as a young person. My parents were emotionally absent, although supportive in the ways that they were capable of. I did not have connections with teachers or mentors and felt alone as a young person quite often. I met my husband when I was 18, and he changed my life. He is my rock and has believed in me and been a source of love and support from day 1. It is thanks to him that I believe in myself and that I am able to show up in the world like I do today.
Fun Fact 1:
My hubby and I have 2 doggies, Athena and Puma!
Fun Fact 2:
I love DIY projects and helped design/ build our remodeled 1913 home.
