Danielle Ward, DO
Name: Danielle Ward, DO
Title: Urgent Care Physician
Location: Roswell, GA
School/Program: Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine - Georgia Campus
Currently Wearing: The Estie Classic Fit Lab Coat
Why did you choose your profession?:
I chose to become a physician because I share a love for medicine and I enjoy using my talents to care for and heal my patients.
Current Passion Project:
I am huge on increasing the numbers of underrepresented minorities in medicine and supporting the needs of those students currently applying to or training in medical school.
Who was/is your inspiration?
My biggest inspiration is my daughter. She has inspired me to overcome obstacles by proving to her that it is possible to accomplish any goal in life with hard work, dedication, and perseverance.
Fun Fact 1:
I grew up a military brat and was born in Germany, so I consider everywhere to be my hometown.
Fun Fact 2:
I love adventure, trying new things, and traveling to different countries.
Do you have any advice for others interested in entering your field?
Never let anyone tell you that you can't accomplish your goals! I had so many people tell me that due to being a single mother, having a low GPA and MCAT scores, my age, etc., I couldn't become a physician, but I'm living proof that anything is possible if you work hard and keep the faith. Ignore the negativity and prove everyone wrong with your success!
