Why did you choose your profession?:
I decided to become a doctor after volunteering with a disability support organization called ESP. I had an opportunity to learn about the people first, and later more about their medical condition. The experience inspired my desire to be an advocate, medically serve patients, and support educational opportunities.

Current Passion Project:
I will be beginning an advocacy block next month and want to wait to answer after I decide what project I want to focus on

Who was/is your inspiration?
Laura Whitaker, executive director of ESP inspires me as an example of a women passionate about her career and being a mother.

Fun Fact 1:
I became a single mom during 3rd year of medical school, and though a lot of people see if as an obstacle it actually provides me with great work/life balance and made me more well rounded.

Fun Fact 2:
Before medical school I used to do aerial dance and acrobatic yoga

Do you have any advice for others interested in entering your field?
Don't let age, past failures or being non-traditional deter you from pursing your dream
